How to plan a weekend with less accidental phone browsing
Plan which phone tasks support the weekend and which browsing you want to avoid. Maps, bookings and conversations can remain useful even if feeds are restricted. unScroll can help with selected Instagram and YouTube browser sections; it does not replace access to travel tools or control every screen you use.
Make an availability list
List what must remain reachable: people, tickets, directions, a camera or a resource for the activity. Then decide whether social browsing is part of the weekend you want. Chosen entertainment and accidental feed switching are different outcomes.
You can choose a small period for browsing without trying to make the entire weekend screen-free. A practical plan is one that preserves the activities and contacts you actually need.
Check the weekend route
- Choose one activity you want to make time for.
- Test the essential phone resources for that activity before restricting anything.
- If Instagram or YouTube is needed, keep the required browser sections and hide the unwanted feed.
- Check another device or browser you may use; restrictions on one route do not cover all routes.
- After the activity, review whether the setup helped you follow your own plan and what needed adjustment.
Do not confuse a schedule with coverage
A restriction scheduled inside unScroll concerns browsing there. The current release does not offer a general scheduled time-budget engine across selected installed apps. Read the product facts for the distinction from whole-app native blocking.
If you mainly want a temporary pause from an entire app, your phone’s own controls may be enough. If you need some social features but not the feed, selective filtering is worth testing instead.
